Queens Park Rangers were formed in the year 1885 and they played on 12 different home grounds over the years since forming. They entered the third division of the football league in 1920, however it was not until the year 1967 that people started to take notice, as QPR battled their way to the league cup final and defeated West Brom winning the encounter 3- 2. To this day it remains the only silverware they have ever won. Under the guidance of Dave Sexton in the 1975 – 1976 campaign, they produced their finest football in their history, finishing runners up in the top flight. They came close to winning the FA Cup in 1982, suffering defeat against Tottenham in the final.
They stayed in the top flight between 1984 and 1996 and have remained in the second tier of English football since.

Star Players

Don Givens – Don Givens was a fast striker who earned the record of gaining 26 caps representing the Republic of Ireland. He signed to QPR from Luton Town and was a key feature in the QPR side that finished the 1975 – 1976 season as runners up. He scored 19 goals for the Republic of Ireland during his career.
