Name of Club – Luton town
Year founded – 1890
Ground Name – Kenilworth road

The club reached the first division of English football in the year 1958, however his players reached the FA Cup final in 1959, and however they were defeated in the final by Nottingham Forest 2-1. Syd Owen, captained Luton in the cup final team and he soon took over as manager. Luton suffered relegation in the year 1960 and in 1966 they were relegated in to the fourth division. Allan Brown nearly led them to the second division in 1968 -1969 season, however after surprisingly being sacked, Alec Stock led Luton back in to the second division in 1970. The hatters reached the top flight in 1982 under the guidance of David pleat, and with a new manager Ray Harford in charge, they won the league cup final, defeating Arsenal in 1988. Luton suffered relegation at the end of the 1991 – 1992 season and hovered in the bottom league for many years during the late 1990’s and early 2000. They have recently established themselves in the second tier of English football, under the guidance of Mike Newell.

Great Players
Bob Morton – Morton played for Luton during his entire playing career, making a staggering 494 appearances for the club. He could play either as a wing half or as a centre forward as he proved in the 1954 – 1955 season as his goals helped Luton town gain promotion in to the first division. He was part of the FA Cup team that reached the 1959 FA Cup final.
