Name of Club – Bury FC
Year founded – 1885
Ground Name – Gigg Lane

Bury were a first division side before the 20th century and they won the FA cup in 1900, defeating Southampton 4-0 in the final. They enjoyed another FA cup success in 1903 as they defeated Derby County 6-0 in the final. The club remained in the top flight until 1912 and never really gained the heights that they had done in previous years. They regained promotion in to the first division in 1925; however their stay only lasted five years. Between 1930 and 1957, Bury were a second division side, before suffering relegation to the third division in 1957. Everything went form bad to worse for the club in 1971, as they suffered relegation in to the fourth division and since then, they have hovered around the bottom two divisions.
